Biography
Working Class Hussys is an original alternative rock band with a southern blend. Like Lynyrd Skynyrd meets the Beatles. It's sometimes called whimsical or quirky; the songs are melodic with many changes.
The band is led by Ian Patrick Gentles, (formerly of Uncle Butch in NYC and Boston.) Working Class Hussys played locally in New Jersey and Pennsylvania with some success when in 2003, Gentles decided to put the live band on ice so he could go into the studio to write. A prolific writer, he emerged with Diary of a Blue Collar Cracker. The songs all written and performed by Gentles and produced in his home studio. In his most recent effort, Gentles brings back the live band to Nashville.
December 2010 was a busy month for Gentles, who released Diary of A Blue Collar Cracker, and re-released the first CD of demos from before called Urban Country. Both are now available on iTunes and throughout the Internet. Heard locally at WDIY, Bethlehem PA. The band is currently working on a set of songs about driving and life on the road, based on recent songs from Gentles' experience driving a truck to make ends meet while pursuing his musical career.
