Building Peace by Gary Mazzola
I was inspired to write this song about having a responsibility as creative humans to make a difference in the world. http://airplaydirect.com/music/band.php?mode=band_profile
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT THE NEW CD “PLANET” by Gary Mazzola
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT THE NEW CD “PLANET” by Gary Mazzola
I’ve listened to "Planet" about 5 times now, and am really enjoying it.
If I were to come up with a recipe for your music, it would read something like this:
Start with a base of a child from the 60’s searching for truth and meaning.
Add a liberal dose of folk and bluegrass, sprinkled with a little country and rock.
Throw in a pinch of Simon, Buffet, Crosby/Stills/Nash, and the Eagles.
Mix well and cook at medium temperature for two score.
Cool it down until it is warm to the pallet, and Presto!
You have a dish pleasing to the taste, goes down easy, and brings pleasure to the heart.
Thanks for the treat. (No desert necessary).

Gary Mazzola’s new CD, PLANET, is a lyrical journey that is both personal and universal.
The poetry, melodies and warmth of his voice draw me in as if he is present.
Each song is unique, but they all blend well and create a feeling of flow.
Great road music. I turn it up and sing along.
Caroline Moranda
It's wonderful. My favorite song is Heart of Mine. The Train keeps Rollin by is another of my
favorites because I can picture the song in my mind and hear that train.
Valinda Kelly Jockinsen
Great man and artist. Music straight from the soul.

"Planet is the best soundtrack for a road trip I have heard in a long time.
Four of us listened to it and only it for a couple of four hour journeys together.
We all still like the album and I believe Gary's album may have supported us all liking
each other more too. Like many I listen to a lot of mixes and Pandora these days and
fewer albums. I am so glad to just pop this one in and sing along to all of it.
This guy is about love and life and the whole delicious mess of possibilities it is.

The text of the songs of "Planet" are poems which, unlike so much contemporary poetry,
are intelligible and even intelligent, and yet full of passion. They express and evoke
a range of thoughts and feelings tied together, it seems, by one common theme:
that out of the darkness of loneliness and despair shines a light of hope, the light of love.
