Biography
A legendary musician, Eddie Adcock has played with Mac Wiseman and Bill Mon roe, and is widely known for his stint with the classic Country Gentlemen. He has played jazz guitar, banjo and invented the ‘Gitbo’ – a combination double neck electric guitar with electrified acoustic banjo. He’s received numerous honors including the Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame and IBMA’s Bluegrass Hall of Honor along with other members of the classic Country Gentlemen.
His first release for Pinecastle, Renaissance Man, includes appearances from Ricky Skaggs, Mac Wiseman, The Osborne Brothers, Jim & Jesse, Buck White and Alan O’Bryant. Backing musicians include Bobby Hicks, Glen Duncan, Missy Raines, Don Wayne and Dale Reno, and Martha Adcock. On various cuts, Eddie plays guitar, banjo and mandolin.
