Biography
Adelaide based trio, The Texettes, have been performing and recording their Original Australian Contemporary Country music for 10 years.
Their 2010 release "A Sure Fire Cure" will "grab you, shake you and leave you bare" according to one reviewer. Another described it as their "best, balanced .....very marketable, international".
Tracks that have been highlighted are
1. "By a Living Thing" - a semi finalist in the Contemporary Country Songwriting Quest Tamworth 2010;
2. "The Good Times" - a poignant duet of faded love;
3. "Cactus Flower" delightfully subtle song to the land;
4. "Heavy Rock 'n Roll" positive country rock and
5. The Hungry Wind" - a "cry of pain to the injustice of fate"
The Texettes music is gaining recognition locally and internationally particularly since the release of two albums in 2009, "The Lady and the Tramp" and "You Can't Do That", backed up their award winning performances at 2008/2009 South Australian Country Music Festival Quests.
Helen, Terry and Dale had their first Tamworth experience in January 2010 where audiences were keen to hear their "refreshing new" music. The Texettes love what they do and it shows!
