"..the Finch’s have created a great sounding project which very nicely blends their lead and harmony vocals with near flawless instrumental backing." (www.timandsavannahfinch.com) - Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine

Bluegrass Today - Eastman String Band live at Gettysburg
"Whenever the Eastman String Band plays at a festival, there are a few things you can depend on – Savannah Finch’s silky vocals.. and some hot picking." -Bluegrass Today Magazine

Victory Review Acoustic Music Magazine
" I feel as though I stopped at an ordinary looking house and once inside realized I was in a palace! This CD is pure pleasure. A collection of solid ballads and Bluegrass craftings from the area around Washington D.C.," - Victory Acoustic Music Magazine

CD review from Alternate Root Magazine
Bluegrass is experiencing a growth spurt. What was not that long ago a very rigid musical form is now moving beyond its borders. One of the bands helping to usher in new ways of hearing traditional sounds is Tim & Savannah Finch and the Eastman String band. Their self-titled album packs lots of familiar textures into their playing. Savannah Finch’s vocals are mountain stream clear, her notes rising up through the air, cutting a path with powerful pipes that know their range and potential. Tim Finch’s time with the Good Deale Bluegrass Band with Mike Auldridge helped further his natural abilities and talents. He brings the results to this release. Bluegrass lies down with Americana, the offspring songs lending credence to the mixing of bloodlines. Whether the rhythms demand stepping (“Heartful of Trouble”, “Your Love Is Like Moonshine”) or quiet reverie (“Love Me When the Rains Come”, “Leaves Have Flown”), the band owns their territory. Like all leaders in sound, Savannah Finch makes good use of what has come before; blending time worn tones into a modern take on tradition. - Danny McCloskey (Alternate Root Magazine)
