When you get to Bardstown Road,
So many ways to go
Movie at the Baxter,a quirky Foreign film
with actors you ain't ever seen before
Crowd begins to gather,by the Pizza joint
as a busker breaks out his saxophone
he's blowing Charlie Parker,for the folks
waiting for the bus
but they're way to busy looking at their phone
Springtime in the Highlands,
the dogwoods are blooming
and the kids ride their bikes
around Cherokee
How could we be so lucky,
to live here in Kentucky
Could there be a better place to be?
