Thin white curtains cover the windows
She can see out but you can’t see in
Romance novels stacked in the corner
Thinks about places she’s never been
Some day she’d like to ride on a carousel
Oh with thoughts like that she laughs at herself
When the Postman smiles he could be her lover
But he won’t say he belongs to another
She still wonders how or when she discovered
Fireflies dance in the garden every summer
And she wanders away, when the clouds bring rain
Oh no no no Sadie’s mind won’t ever change
Her mood it changes with the seasons
Sheds a tear for the leaves the wind forgot
Cold white snow and ice are a danger
Cause it makes her think of all the things she’s not
Some day she’d like to ride on down to the sea
It’s thought’s like that she’s finding harder to leave
And Postman will never be her lover
But he never says he belongs to another
She still wonders how or when she discovered
Fireflies dance in the garden every summer
And she wanders away, when the clouds bring rain
Oh no no no Sadie’s mind won’t ever change
Sadie’s mind mind won’t ever change
She wanders wanders so far away
Sadie’s mind won’t change
