Biography
Peter Combe is the original King of the Kids in Australian Childrens Music. His timeless songs have been entertaining children for over 20 years. Much loved classics such as Spaghetti Bolognaise, Newspaper Mama, Wash Your Face in Orange Juice and Juicy Juicy Green Grass have earned him 3 ARIAs, 7 Gold and 2 Platinum Albums. Peter Combe pioneered the idea of parent friendly childrens CDs and his wonderfully diverse music delights both children and parents alike. His songs are catchy, rich in both musical and lyrical content, quirky, often simple, but sometimes quite sophisticated and irresistibly singable. Wonderfully diverse -

His career began with MUSIC TIME for BBC Television in London. In 1987 his TOFFEE APPLE album became the first childrens recording to be awarded an ARIA (the Australian equivalent of a Grammy) for Best Childrens Album, followed by ARIAs for NEWSPAPER MAMA and LIVE AND ROCKING. WASH YOUR FACE IN ORANGE JUICE (aka MR. CLICKETTY CANE), was released on the SPAGHETTI BOLOGNAISE album in 1984 and is one of Australias best loved childrens songs. He has also composed a major children's musical for Symphony Orchestra, Choir and 18 Soloists based on the Australian classic childrens story - Snugglepot & Cuddlepie.

With his recent successes performing sell out shows to 20-odd year olds who still love the songs they grew up with, Peter's music is living on and being passed to the next generation.

~FROM AUSTRALIAS THE AGE - METRO TUESDAY~
Imagine an audience of 2000 young adults aged 20 something at a university (or 500 at a pub) at 10pm on a Saturday night each with a beer in his or her hand ROARING out the lyrics to Wash Your Face in Orange Juice, Newspaper Mama, Toffee Apple, Spaghetti Bolognaise and Juicy Juicy Green Grass – the Peter Combe kids hits from ABC TV in the late 80s when these same 2000 young adults were about 4 years old. It is a new phenomenon – young adults at the pub reliving their childhood by singing the songs they grew up on - well before the Wiggles came on the scene. In the late 80s and early 90s Peter Combe was King of the Kids. When you see one of these shows you will see why to these young adults think he is still King of the Kids.
