Ridin' the Rods
Some people spend their whole life, trying to be a star,
Searching for the spotlight just so everybody knows who they are
Now I don’t claim to know much philosophy
But when I take a long look at the man in the mirror staring back at me
I wanna look him in the eye, say I’m trying to get by, and get to the next page
Of some wild imagined plan doing the best that I can, to be living, Living Centre Stage

Some people waste all their time trying to climb before they learn to crawl
then there are those, who chose to do nothing at all
Or those who Seek not hide, and enjoy the ride, with no obsession to fame
Cuz there’s the ones who know, there’s no end to the show, and the destiny and journey’s the same
And choose their own fate, though the path is not straight, like clouds in the moonlight change
Forget past regrets, hold onto each success, living, Living Centre Stage

The path to fame remains, not one that’s self proclaimed, it’s a lifetime performance to give
