Biography

In Ecclesiastes 3:1 – the word of God says – “to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. “(KJV) This is Jerry’s time. Jerry is a living testimony to the fact that ‘your gift will make room for you.’ Now he has the opportunity of taking his unique ministry to the next level with the release of his recording productions where he has composed and co-written, arranged and produced the songs as well as sing them. The artists under his wing are a distinctive select few.

Jeriel Teel, Jerry as he is known to friends and colleagues, has a music knowledge which spans many years and has earned a reputation and respect as a phenomenal bass guitarist and keyboard man, and can now add vocalist. Having shared the stage with Luther Barnes, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Mighty Clouds of Joy, Williams Brothers, Gospel Keynotes, Lee Williams, Dorothy Norwood and Dr. Bobby Jones, just to name a few, while playing for the Gospelaires of Dayton Ohio, Brooklyn Skyways, Heavenly Upsetters, Kilgore Singers and Sis. Jane Selby-Thompson and the Anointed Ones, Professor Lewis Anderson of Texas along with other Gospel groups and individuals. Currently he is doing production and arrangement work for local groups in North Carolina.

Jerry has traveled to various parts of the country. Playing at a capacity crowd at the Richmond Coliseum, in Richmond, Virginia to the Houston Community Hall in Houston, Texas and the Apollo Theater in Harlem New York (NOT AMATEUR NIGHT), to many correctional facilities, ministering to people of all races. Another
one of Jerry’s accomplishments is the character “Brother Whatever”. Some view this as comedy, this character causes Brother and Sister Christian to really do a spiritual examination of themselves and their Christian walk.

Hits are many of his jam-packed productions because Jerry’s mission is “to share the message of the TRUE and LIVING GOD, to as many as possible in any Godly way.”

Coming from a musically inclined family, it is no wonder that his love for music flows deep from within. His uniques projects offers variety and versatility, but most assuredly shows the vibrant gift that Jerry Teel is Blessed of the Lord.
