In the fine tradition of the Stanley Brothers, Louvin Brothers and Wilburn Brothers, the Crowe Brothers are carrying on the tradition of beautifully blended harmonies in bluegrass and traditional country music with their new Rural Rhythm’s album “Brothers-N-Harmony.”

Joining Josh and Wayne Crowe on their album is an all star group of bluegrass musicians who have won Grammy, IBMA or SPEGMA awards including: Randy Kohrs, Ronnie McCoury, Steve Sutton and other bluegrass veterans including Buck White, Darren Nicholson and album co-producer/ musician Steve Thomas of J. D. Crowe & The New South.

Each song on Brothers-N-Harmony was carefully chosen to showcase the Crowe Brothers’ powerful vocals as they move across a variety of bluegrass and country styles paying tribute to the legends with songs like “Are You Teasin’ Me,” “Why Not Confess,” “Which One is To Blame” and “Country Boy Rick & Roll.” However the album highlights are new originals like “Holdin’ On When You’ve Let Go” written by Dixie Hall and Eric Gibson, “Million For a Broken Heart” and “Take Me By the Hand” written by Josh Crowe. He also wrote “The Winds Are Blowing in Maggie Valley” which went to 1 on the Bluegrass Unlimited Song Chart many years ago) and the first single from the album “Cindy Mae” written by Cody Shuler of Pine Mountain Railroad.

Charlie Louvin said, “It was a treat to hear ‘Are You Teasing Me’ included in this album. The song was really good to me and Ira early in our career. Along with tight harmonies the Crowe Brothers mix bluegrass and traditional country music, and while giving a nod to their heroes now and then, this music doesn’t sound old or tired. Over the years the Crowe Brothers have made several appearances on the Nashville Network and regular appearances on the Grand Ole Opry since 1978, as well as voted Instrumental Band of the Year by SPGBMA and Josh Crowe won the Guitar Player of the Year Award by SPBGMA. They will be attending the International Bluegrass Music Associations (IBMA) World of Bluegrass event in Nashville next week and promoting this new release with many more events being planned.

The Crowe Brothers have been recording and touring together since 1975 and have recorded four albums with Raymond Fairchild & The Crowe Brothers, four albums as the Crowe Brothers and in Wayne’s absence from being on the road, Josh recorded the Crowe & McLaughlin “Going Back to Old Virginia” album in 1994 and a strong solo album titled, “Sincerely” in 2004.

Brothers-N-Harmony has taken the Crowe Brothers a lifetime of recording and touring experiences to create and perfectly showcase their gifted and beautifully blended vocals as they firmly establish themselves as one of the top bluegrass vocal groups carrying on the tradition.
