Biography
Corciolli is a Brazilian musician and composer. Praised by many Brazilian reviewers for his compositions, arrangements and recordings, Corciolli is considered to be one of the most remarkable Brazilian artists in his genre. His music is featured in collections with Vangelis, Yossou N. Dour, Dead Can Dance, Hans Zimmer, Secret Garden, Era, Enigma, Sarah Brightman, Luciano Pavarotti, Jose Carreras, Placido Domingo, and many others. Brazil’s most successful digital store - “Sonora.com.br” - ranks Corciolli as the “Number One” most played New Age artist and in the “Top 50” for all genres.
UNIO MYSTICA
With Unio Mystica (Mystical Union), Corciolli presents a beautiful seven piece suite, inspired by the medieval alchemy and union of male and female principles of the soul in communion with the Divine.
Featuring Gregorian Chants, female vocals and inspired arrangements of piano and keyboards, Unio Mystica´s highlights are the mezzo-soprano voice of Adriana Mezzadri and the accordion of Brazilian virtuoso Oswaldinho.
Musical selections from Unio Mystica have been featured on international compilations among artists like Vangelis, Sarah Brigthman, Luciano Pavarotti, Era, Enigma, Hans Zimmer, and Plácido Domingo. When released in Europe, Unio Mystica received a special Blessing of Pope John Paul II.
Unio Mystica was partially recorded in the São Bento´s Monastery in São Paulo, Brazil. Mixed at the SoundTechniques´ Studio in Boston, Massachusetts.
UNIO CELESTIA
Following up the sonant concept presented on Unio Mystica, Corciolli's Unio Celestia adds some elements of Flemish music as well as the astonishing duets of tenor Baulé, mezzo-soprano Tania Maya, and a Gregorian choir. Corciolli’s piano and keyboards textures produce a splendid sonority, added by ethnic percussions. In this harmony of sounds, Corciolli guides us to classical music, harmonic contemporary interpretations and jazzy improvisations, transporting the listener to a euphoric and reflective state. Ancient lyrics by Hildegard von Bingen are sung in Latin and were extracted from original writings of the Middle Ages and the Roman Catholic Liturgy.
Highlights include “Oratio,” which was used as the soundtrack for the Brazilian soap opera “Essas Mulheres,” and “Toledo,” which was the theme song used by Brazilian gymnast Angelica Kvieczynski in the 2007 Pan American Games.
