Connie Kis Andersen's recent award as the '2010 Best Female Country Music Artist' for Western Australia along side previous honours such as; 'Best Independent Country Music Album' in 2008 and being named 'Best Female Country Music Vocalist' in 2006 undoubtedly secures her reputation as one of the finest country music artists to emerge from Western Australia.

This outstanding singer/songwriter has made extraordinary steps forward in the country music scene since the release of her debut Album; GONE WISHIN' in 2005. Her self penned songs traverse a range and depth of emotions and have charted on the Australian Country Top 30, in Europe, and are now attracting attention in the USA with her US radio single; Happy Day making it to number 1 in October, 08 on the IndieWorld Charts out of Nashville, and the title track to her award winning album; Once Again gracing the New Music Weekly Main Country Charts. Ms Andersen's Australian hit, 'Kiss My Cheek' was also listed in the Australasian Performing Rights Association's (APRA) 2007 Song of the Year for voting.

recorded in Nashville and produced by US 18-time Grammy winner, Tom Pick.

About Connie Kis

Born in Copenhagen Denmark, raised in Australia, Connie Kis embraced her passion for music at the age of eight years old when she began learning her first instrument, the Banjolin and by the time she was eleven, she was performing at local town hall concerts including a guest spot with Australian Country Music legend, Slim Dusty.

What makes Connie Kis so unique is that after a fulfilling profession in special education, she has returned to her first love and successfully pursued a career as an Independent Recording Artist at an age when most other artists would consider hanging up their microphones...

She has opened for Don McLean on his tour of Australia, performed at numerous Australian Festivals, including Tamworth, Mildura, Gympie National Country Music Muster, The Blue Water Festival,Barham, Horsham, Boyup Brook and the WAMIs in her own state of W.A.

She regularly tours the USA where she has represented Australia at the Australian Festivals held both in Nashville TN and Fort Lauderdale Fl, performed at The Bluebird Café, The Midnight Jamboree, Tootsies, Nashville Palace, showcases at CMA's Fan Fair, Country Radio Seminars, in Nashville March 09 and the mericana Music Conference to name just a few.
A strong supporter of Western Australia's music industry, Connie Kis currently sits on the Arts Development and Contemporary Music Panel and has held roles as president of WAM, (West Australian Music Industry) and General Manager of KULCHA [Multicultural Arts of WA]. She is a professional member of;


APRA, AMA, CMAA, CMA, NSAI and NARAS
