BLKRAW Interviewed by SWAG Magazine
SWAG Magazine CA:
Today we are here with rapper, lyricist, BLKRAW... First off we want to thank you for taking the time out to interview with us and all of our viewers.

SWAG Magazine CA:
What artist do you look forward to working with in the future?

BLKRAW:
I would like to work with Erk The Jerk, Nelly, & and one of my all time favorite artist LL Cool J, if the opportunity presents itself.

SWAG Magazine CA:
Is there any talk of signing with a major label?

BLKRAW:
I had the opportunity to talk with a few labels regarding a development deal, but, I refuse it because the deal was not what I was looking for.

SWAG Magazine CA:
That's completely understandable. Sometimes by a artist being so hungry for success they find themselves signing to labels that are not in their best interest. I believe that is why management is so important.

SWAG Magazine CA:
Who or what has been your inspiration to become great?

BLKRAW:
Artist like LL Cool J, Nelly Big Daddy Kane Kool Mo Dee, 2 Pac, B.I.G have gave me inspiration yet 95 percent of it comes from my bigbrother Sean C. Fuller. Which he Died in 1998.

SWAG Magazine CA:
What upcoming events can our viewers look forward to you performing at?

BLKRAW:
I'll be performing at open mic nights, fashion shows and Las Vegas Indie Music Fest.

SWAG Magazine CA:
Your music is generally for the ladies. What message are you trying to send to them?

BLKRAW:
Yes I am all about the ladies, there is no hip hop/ rap artist doing music for the woman, that smooth r&b feel. Since LL Cool J, has slowed down it seems like artist are scared to go down that lane, and that's where BLKRAW comes in at.

SWAG Magazine CA:
We are sorry to hear that you lost your brother in 1998. What influences has that situation had on you and your music career?

BLKRAW:
For one it made me look at life in a whole different way, it made me realize life is way to short, "On his death bed my bother told me follow my dreams" I been doing just that every since. And this is where I get my passion for my crafted.

SWAG Magazine CA:
What region is your music getting the most support from?

BLKRAW:
California and Florida- SWAG Magazine CA: How active are you in your community?

BLKRAW:
I am Very active. I try and help out a lot with the youth if its in sports, toy drive, food drives etc. I like to be involve.

SWAG Magazine CA:
What advice can you give to upcoming artist who know music but not the industry?

BLKRAW: Focus on YOU don't worry about being better then the next artist that's out, yet be the best artist you can be. Don't be so quick to jump into a situation. Hard work does pays off, and take no days off you should always be working on your career in some shape or form.

SWAG Magazine CA:
How do you prepare yourself for a big event?

BLKRAW:
I like to watch the great ones before me, so I will look at videos of LL Cool J, Michael Jackson, its their energy!

SWAG Magazine CA:
What are some at your greatest accomplishments of your career?

BLKRAW:
I would have to say being able to share the stage with Nina Ski, Rick Ross, Opening for E-40, as well as being able to meet some of the people I look up to in this music industry.

SWAG Magazine CA:
Every solo artist have a story of why they are solo and not with a group. What is your story?

BLKRAW:
I am solo artist just because I have control of my music at all times, I don't have to wait on things to get done.

SWAG Magazine CA:
Where do you feel music is going today? example Motown then / Hip - Hop, R&B now?

BLKRAW:
I feel music today is great music but it lacks history behind it. For example motown. Back then artist had meaning, feeling & passion in their music. Artist today seem to do it because its the thing to do.

SWAG Magazine CA:
Who does the writing for your material?

BLKRAW:
I write all my own music.

SWAG Magazine CA:
Are you open to the idea of singing music that is written by other writers and artists?

BLKRAW:
I am open minded to a lot of things, that does not mean I'll always use them. If the writing fit me as an artist then its possible I would use it.

SWAG Magazine CA:
What would you like to say to all your fans who have supported you?

BLKRAW:
I would like to let my fans know with out you there is no me. Also I would like them to know I respond back to all my fans, I take a few hours out of my day to message/chat with my fans via social networks Shouts out to Swag magazine Its your boy BLKRAW I would like to thank swag magazine for this opportunity and it was truly a blessing working with swag magazine.

"Radio Creds" are votes awarded to artists by radio programmers who have downloaded their music and have been impressed with the artist's professionalism and the audience's response to the new music. Creds help artists advance through the AirPlay Direct community.

Only radio accounts may add a Radio Cred. One week after the track has been downloaded the radio account member will receive an email requesting a Cred for each artist they've downloaded.
