Biography
I'm a 48 yr. old singer/songwriter from Clay County Texas. For 20 years my wife Barbara and I have worked on large ranches out in West Texas. For the last eight years we have been fortunate enough to run some cows of our own. This has also allowed me to give the music business my best shot. In 2004 I had a song "West Texas Dreams" get up to #10 on the A.W.A charts. In 2006 my song "Stars in the Heavens" got 5th place in the Blues category in a song writing competition in Austin Texas. The next year I got 5th again in the Rock-n-roll category with "Crank the Hank". My songwriting has allowed me to sing at the Shinerbock Rising star competition in Dallas, Threadgills World Headquarters in Austin, the Southwestern Livestock Expo in Fort Worth, Love and War in Plano, Tx. and a thousand rodeos, honkytonks, restaurants and even a few churches along the way. I consider it a great privelege to play my songs around the country, it's an honor that I'll never take for granted. Hope to see you on the road soon --- A.W. Love
