“After two and a half years of recording with my producer and studio engineer, Larry Nye, I proudly announce the release of my latest album, Keepsake,” Blakely says. "The CD features ten songs about hope, healing, joy, redemption and love. Ranging from acoustic to electric and from full-band, up-tempo tunes to laid-back ballads, Keepsake taps into a variety of musical styles, yet we believe it holds together as a cohesive collection.”


As a performer, Blakely has toured worldwide on his own and with his band and has toured Europe nearly twenty times. He has self-released eleven albums, mostly featuring his own original compositions. His songs have also been recorded by legendary artists such as Johnny Bush, Flaco Jiménez, the Mavericks' Raul Malo, Gary P. Nunn, Johnny Rodriguez and Red Steagall. In 2007, his story song "The Last Wild White Buffalo" won the first-ever Spur Award for Best Western Song.
