Biography

Maggie and Mike McKinney, Lucky Mud, have toured extensively for many years in the US, Canada and Europe. They've played their original music from Bandera, Texas, to the main stages of both the Florida Folk Festival and the Will McLean Festival. They tour Ireland every year and have played shows from John O's in Ballinrobe to a sold-out concert at the legendary Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar.
Both are from Pioneer Florida families and have strong ties to the American South, its music and its tradition as the home of dreamers and story tellers. Their strong lyrics come from this tradition, and their warm voices and harmonies bring those stories to life.
They host a twice-weekly series in the Florida panhandle featuring. along with themselves, artists such as Pierce Pettis, Sally Spring, Buddy Mondlock, Brian Kennedy and many, many others. This series is already booking into 2015 with such diverse acts as Bing Futch, Beaucoup Blue and Eric Taylor.
