Lisa's CD, "Sweet Forgiveness", is being released to Americana radio on May 1, 2006. She will follow that with a radio and retail promotional tour beginning May 8. In June she will start touring monthly throughout 2006 in support of "Sweet Forgiveness".

Bio -
Austin, TX based artist, Lisa Hayes, has released her stunning solo debut Sweet Forgiveness. Her soul searching brand of alt country has been brought to life by performances featuring musicians who are currently touring with The Eagles. Reviewing her CD, RootsTown said, at last again, a womans voice that is worth listening to makes its entrance into alt.countryland.

When producer David Kitay (New Folk Underground), heard her demos he was instantly enamored of her songs and voice and offered to produce an album with her. Using musicians including Michael Thompson, who had the week off from touring with The Eagles, they managed to track the entire CD. Michael came back the next week bringing along tour mate Al Garth to play fiddle on 4 songs. The guys showed a tremendous belief in me. Much love and thanks to them for taking such care, what a musical gift.

Inspired by that gift Lisa moved to Austin where the players and venues were ideal for her alt country sound. She had pedal steel added to four of the songs and Will Sexton dropped by to add some background vocals. She then had local producer Mark Hallman (Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Eliza Gilkyson) mix the last five tracks. Her debut CD, Sweet Forgiveness, was now complete.

Lisa quickly attracted the attention of Austin AAA radio station KGSR, who had her perform on one of their legendary Lone Star State of Mind live broadcasts. Hayes was then chosen to appear at the Americana Music Association Conference and her powerful performance won over the AMA audience. Billy Block, host of Western Beat Radio, said of her performance: Lisa Hayes was the most pleasant surprise at this years AMA Conference. Her presence onstage was riveting as she led her band through a set of well crafted and passionately sung originals. A refreshing new talent.
