Biography
Kid Whiskey formed from the ashes (and bottles) of many previous musical projects that Ryan Crosby (gtr/vox) and Neal Richter (drums) worked on. We met a couple of years ago, in an era where it seemed like a hundred bands in Los Angeles were screaming about "the return of rock n roll". So while we waited for the return, all we noticed were more t-shirts with skulls on them, more arms with tattoo sleeves of comic book characters, and more riffless music that had to force AC/DC out of retirement just to fix the mess. While we were having a good chuckle, we realized that the "return of rock n roll" to us was playing music that is FUN. We realized that the music we had BEEN making was fun. So that became our unspoken rule. FUN. Simple concept, but for some reason, awfully difficult to achieve for us in the past. Sure, image and attitude is important, and the music should be taken serious, but if it's not fun for us to play, we start acting out in strange ways. Crosby and Richter brought along their musical brothers Mike Meeker (bass), who can rock a stage like no other, and Robbie Pugliese (gtr) to put the frosty icing on the cake. Expect our debut record in the Spring of '09.
