Biography

Just like his music, Kenny Davin Fine is alot of things to alot of people: medical doctor and researcher, gastroenterologist and nutritional expert, public health servant, internet medicine pioneer, and singer-songwriter, guitar-harmonica player. As a highly accomplished M.D., he has been professionally involved in patient care, medical research, teaching, directing clinical laboratories, nutritional pioneering, and public health for over 20 years. He is the founder and current director of EnteroLab.com clinical reference laboratory and the non-profit Intestinal Health Institute in Dallas, Texas (www.intestinalhealth.org), where he has furthered his ground-breaking research and offers diagnostic laboratory tests for intestinal disorders, and gluten and other food sensitivities.

His music stems from decades of musical influence. Lyrical mastery, vocal smoothness, and the musical sounds of classic rock, country-rock, and blues combine to create the basic elements of the Kenny Davin Fine sound and song. When the good doctor is not treating patients, conducting medical research, or developing new health products, this musical MD is in the recording studio laying down tracks! His most recent recording sessions with John Hampton at Ardent Studios in Memphis—another Grammy honoree—has resulted in the latest addition to his protean catalog; a wealth of compositions he has come to call “Music with a Purpose – To Entertain, Educate, and Enlighten!”

Along with his achievements as a prolific tunesmith and his virtuosity on guitar and harmonica, Kenny is also a wonderful performer. He showcases his healing voice in both his live musical shows and his awe-inspiring lectures. His trademark musical lecture, "For Want of Higher Ground: A Musical Road Map to the Higher Truth of Health" features KDF's original wisdom and music; he is truly a “Physician-Musician on a Mission”. It’s a unique experience imparting knowledge and inspiration, striking the perfect balance between important scientific health information and the healing power of music.

As the child friendly "Dr. Ken the Produce Man", Dr. Fine has authored a multimedia musical children's health and nutritional program called "Get on a Mission of Nutrition" (www.GOAMON.org) to address childhood obesity, a national public health crisis.
