Multi-talented Julia Starr presents a variety of music genres and proves in every performance the reason why she was awarded in the top twenty in Australasia. Her high energy performance creates a truly memorable experience for all festival fans. A popular performer, Julia has released three original albums which have achieved chart success in Australia and Europe.

Julia Starr plays acoustic rhythm with lead breaks played on both original and popular blues standards which have inspired her musical journey. She also plays blues harp, Ganjo and ukulele- and can hold her own as a solo performer on any stage. Her music performance style can be a mix of west side Chicago blues, country folk and modern beat-ballads. Her self-produced albums offer a diverse range of music styles and being independent allows this artist to grow and develop. Julia’s many talents include playing different instruments and composition. Julia currently has a blues album being played on Australian radio and internet stations. A versatile performer indeed!

Julia Starr has played at the high-end of the performance market – supporting the best of the best, at capacity,Australian festival crowds (Tamworth, Blue Water, Tocal, Berry Springs and Darwin Casino) through to regular gigs at the best clubs and venues, all over Australia including Top Class resorts All Seasons and Casinos. She has appeared on NBN news, community TV Sydney songwriters show and has a vast memoir of media releases available. Audiences enjoy Julia’s personable approach to presenting and performance, which is highly professional and polished.

Julia Starr is currently recording a new album project – number 4 – for release early 2013, which contains 12 new blues and jazz songs.

Julia Starr regularly performs at the top club venues and is a favourite performer at these venues: Wyong Leagues Group (8 clubs in Australia) and she runs The Little Blues Festival; a community show to foster new blues music and promote blues artist. The second show, Jazz on the Mountain; Julia gives her heart to promoting blues music.

Julia Starr is available solo, duo, trio or four piece band gigs: playing live and with some accompanying backing musicians for large venues for festivals.
Internationally, Julia has access to both British and Australian Passports, as required, and accomodation in NE England if needed. Julia can also play on tour at a range of established venues in London, New York, Germany, LA and Texas to promote the new album in 2013.
