Josh Miller was born and raised in a small town called Spring City, Tennessee. He grew up playing music with his family. The Miller Family is famous in the region for its music. Josh used to watch his favorites like Blue Highway, Mountain Heart and Alison Krauss & Union Station play as a child. He aspired to be them all throughout his teenage years.

Josh made it a year and a half into his college studies to be a history teacher when he got a call from the Lovell Sisters. After a brief stint with the Lovell Sisters, the award-winning fiddle player, and producer Jim Van Cleve, invited Miller to come to play in a new project he was working on called Carrie Hassler and Hard Rain. Josh Miller played banjo there for 3 years

Josh Miller then moved on to NewFound Road when Tim Shelton offered him the job. They played all over the country. From performing art centers in New England to the Grand Ole Opry with Joe Diffie. After many years on the road, NewFound Road came to an end. Josh took the next few years to stay home with his family and raise his son with his beautiful wife.

Throughout his career in the music industry, he not only played music but also found a passion for songwriting. Miller spent many years honing the craft as a songwriter. He currently has more than 20 songs recorded. His songs have been recorded by IIIrd Tyme Out, Highland Travelers, The Darrell Webb Band, and Volume Five. His songs have also been recorded by all three bands he toured with, the Lovell Sisters, Carrie Hassler and Hard Rain, and NewFound Road.

Now with Josh’s son getting older, it is time for Josh to spend more time in Bluegrass circles again. He’s making his solo debut with his brand new single County Wishing Well.

Its a wild and crazy ride in 1945
In my mind I'm making love to Ann in 1929
Back before the war and the market fell
And the devil came to earth and raised an army to himself
Back when there was hopes and dreams
In the county wishing well

Mom, I miss you more with every passing day
I miss the way the old home smelled of love and fresh cut summer hay
Dad, I'd see you cry and wouldn't understand
It took a trip around the world to see how war could shape a man
Longing for the better days while they're slipping through your hand

Its a wild and crazy ride in 1945
In my mind I'm making love to Ann in 1929
Back before the war and the market fell
And the devil came to earth and raised an army to himself
Back when there was hopes and dreams
In the county wishing well

Every year we'd take the trip up to the county fair
Ann and I would watch the sunset fall on an empty carousel
It means so much to me that you were there for her
When the angels came to take her far away from this old world
I hate myself for being here and not at home with her

Its a wild and crazy ride in 1945
In my mind I'm making love to Ann in 1929
Back before the war and the market fell
And the devil came to earth and raised an army to himself
Back when there was hopes and dreams
In the county wishing well

Back when there was hopes and dreams
In the county wishing well
