Biography
Jack Remington and Dollie McFarland

When you experience Jack Remington and Dollie McFarland for the first time you immediately see two seasoned old troupers who have been down all those roads that lead through the big city nightspots and the down-home country honky tonks. And along the way nearly fifty years of singing together has given them a unique sound and perspective on the world. Jack and Dollie are a couple Maverick Texas singer/songwriters who just don't fit anybody's mold. They were Americana back before there was an Americana genre. They are musical chameleons that change voice and style to blend with their material that ranges through country, folk, blues, pop and gospel. Just when you think you have their measure, they'll do something completely unexpected.

Here is a couple who are charging off after their dream at a time in life when others would opt for a rocking chair and a pitcher of tea. "We never grew up," they joke. "It's arrested development."

Over the years Jack and Dollie have played everything from embassies and elegant country clubs to Texas knife and gun honkytonks. They've looked down the gun barrels and dodged the beer bottles. They've had nights when the audience wouldn't leave, stuffing Jack's guitar so full of money that it was muffled. They sang in the Greenwich Village folk clubs back in the sixties and toured the Pacific with the U.S.O. back during the Viet Nam war. They were signed songwriters with Seals and Crofts' Dawnbreaker Publishing in Hollywood in the seventies. Several of their songs were recorded by Nashville artists.

When mainstream country and pop ran off chasing the youth market they left a huge audience behind that doesn't relate to what's on mainstream radio today. These are the people who welcome Jack and Dollie's originality.

Welcome to our site. Enjoy the music.
