CMH announces a rich archive of classic bluegrass and instrumental wizardry showcasing the musical genius of Don Reno- pioneer, legend and innovator of the three-finger bluegrass banjo-picking style. These 25 selections represent the best of Don Reno from seven CMH releases spanning 1976-1980.

Reno’s instrumental wizardry and eclectic range of styles are generously showcased, along with the smooth lead vocals of longtime partner and fellow bluegrass legend Bill Harrell, and the solid support of his band the Tennessee Cut-Ups.

Aficionados of classic bluegrass will be clamoring for this collection, as will today’s fans of Reno’s sons, Ronnie, and Dale and Don Wayne of the Reno Brothers, who are carrying on their late father’s tradition of virtuosity and innovation.
