Biography
I write songs ... :)
I can say that in two words or two hundred and the meaning is exactly the same ...

I was born in Athens ... Then, at the time good girls were learning French and how to play the piano ... But I liked English and playing the guitar!
From the age of 10 I was in Music Schools, studying classical guitar, solfege, theory and later on I experimented with an electric bass, drums and keyboards ...
At the same time I was in the choir of the American College for many years and there our conductor had me sing in all voices not to get bored in rehearsals ... Listening to my music you can see how that influenced my style as the " choir " feeling is always present in my songs ...

All this knowledge passed and yet didn't touch me because I was interested, neither in the theoretical nor the technical part of music ....
All I wanted was to grab whatever musical instrument I found before me and use it to get the melodies and lyrics that danced in my head out ... :o)
I started writing songs when I was very young, I don't even remember when ...

Then I started playing with bands at 15 ... We made unbelievable noise hidden from our parents in some underground clubs...
And we had such a wonderful time ...
I was playing with several because I liked all kinds of music !!! Music is one !!! And I love mixing different styles ... Rock with R&B , Metal with punk , Garage with Pop etc ...

And then ... I grew up! :(
I studied Mechanical Engineering but slowly I realized that this profession was not for me ... So ... I changed course and studied again !! Eventually I became an English language teacher, I still practise teaching and I love kids ..

Of course like everybody, a lot of things happened in my life ... Great loves, great disappointments, losses, joys, sorrows ....
In everything that excited me my guitar was always there to guide me to express what I felt, to write songs roughly in pencil with smudged words and notes ...
One song at each time ... that ended up in a drawer with many others, crowded, yellow wrinkled songs ....

Until one day, a death taught me how precious life is, how small ... And how it is never too late to start doing what you owe yourself to have done once, but didn't ...
And so one day I smiled proudly and I opened that drawer with the yellowed wastepaper .... and I took all my songs finally out into the light ...
It was very hard work to decode everything but who cares .. there's no hurry ...

Now I'm finally doing what has always made me happy ....
In two words or two hundred ...
I write songs ...... :)

Sincerely ,
Elina Englezou

"Radio Creds" are votes awarded to artists by radio programmers who have downloaded their music and have been impressed with the artist's professionalism and the audience's response to the new music. Creds help artists advance through the AirPlay Direct community.

Only radio accounts may add a Radio Cred. One week after the track has been downloaded the radio account member will receive an email requesting a Cred for each artist they've downloaded.
