Biography
New Review!
Singer-songwriter David Rice has released another interesting collection of original songs with his latest CD, Rockin-Jazzy-Country-Blues. As the title implies, David showcases new material with additional recordings from earlier in his career, all touching upon the genres mentioned in the title. Plus, David has added something new to this "mix." Many of the new songs incorporate elements he explored in his last album, Ireland In My Roots. In doing so, he used the basic acoustic instruments featured in the Roots album to formulate a very rustic, almost "earthy" background to stage his new material. This "earthy music" style provides a musical stage that, at times is very rhythmical, deep and haunting. Additionally, David has made a great effort to mold this backing style to fit the lyrics of each song. Not an easy feat! The backing tracks for many of these songs are "all David," as he played all the instruments on a lot of the songs. David's earlier tracks provide a nice contrast, dovetailing the new music with recordings that feature his impactful voice and guitar skills. There's something here for everyone to listen to and enjoy!

Reviews:- Wave of music and more!
David Rice, once again, proves himself as a world-class singer / songwriter / multi-instrumentalist with his third CD, "Wave of Music". He has his own unique, captivating style, creating an atmosphere that is reminiscent of The Beatles, Roy Orbison, Cat Stevens, Neil Young, and Buddy Miller. David wrote all twenty-four songs himself, pouring pure passion into a mix of genres including Americana, Vintage Folk Rock, Roots, Country, and Blues, as well as Celtic Rock, Love Songs and a touch of Classical (with the composition "Spring Water"). He perfects the art of setting mood to music in the spellbinding "Dream World" and aligns eloquent poetry with ingenious chords in the timeless classics, "A New Beginning" and "The Way I Am" . He also includes a gem he wrote and recorded in early 1980's, the retro-classic "Happiness is For those Who Share". David has an extensive knowledge of music and instruments and, for the first time, shares his proficiency with piano and slide guitar, among the many other instruments he plays.
