Biography
Since the formation of Caney Creek in 2008, they continue their reputation as one of the best bands in North East Ohio. All the members of the band bring forth their own unique taste to form the hard driving yet heart felt bluegrass music you'll hear from them today. With the combination of Traditional, Contemporary and Original material you are sure to be pleased. This band was originally formed when 4 guys decided to have a jam at Greenwich Coon Hunters club. Over the years their love for the music has not only grown but their brotherly bond has become inseparable. To this day you will find all the members of Caney Creek form into a small huddle to say a prayer before their feet ever hit the stage. The new album Cool Kentucky Rain is turning heads!

Stacy Wilcox on Banjo and vocals. Stacy has played his whole life, and growing up in East Tennessee was the perfect training ground. Stacy was a long time member of Dave Parmelys band and is an honorary Bluegrass Cardinal.

Chris Smith on guitar and vocals. Chris was a member of Larry Efaws Bluegrass Mountaineers for 20 years on banjo. In the spring of 1990, Chris was asked by Dr Ralph Stanley to fill in on lead guitar as a Clinch Mt Boy for a couple months in the absence of Junior Blankenship. Chris spent most of his childhood studying the music of Ralph Stanley along with his longtime childhood friend Ernie Thacker. The 2 were inseparable in their youths always jamming and listening to Stanley brother records. Chris's wife Missy is also steeped in bluegrass, although she does not play, her uncle Ed Hamilton won SPBGMAs song of the year for his beautiful penning of "Lonesome Old Home". A song about his old home place and family in eastern Kentucky. The Wilson Brothers, Longview, and countless others recorded the song.

Mitch Meadors on Mandolin and vocals. Mitch is steeped in bluegrass. He has been playing his whole life starting in his families gospel band.

Joe Robinson on bass and vocals. Joes family comes from the Eastern Kentucky coal fields in Pike county. He has been on the road most of his life, playing with his cousins The Prater Brothers.
