Bob Nobles is a singer-songwriter originally from Denton, Texas now based in Nashville, Tn. He grew up listening to local musicians who attended the University of North Texas such as Michael Murphy, Don Henley and Dan Seals. Bob moved to Austin in the early 70's and was active in the progressive country scene there. He was heavily influenced by the Texas folk music songwriters such as Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, and Nancy Griffith. He toured the Southwest as a member of the country rock band Lash Laroo in the mid 70's and got the opportunity to back-up BW Stevenson as part of the Grey Hiway Band in Dallas. One of his highest honors was to tour with Roni Stoneman in 1996 as guitar player for the Dixie Mountaineers. Bob moved to Nashville in 1980 to pursue songwriting full time.

While living in Nashville, Bob has had the opportunity to become friends with several musicians and songwriters that he greatly admires that contributed their talents to this project.

Bo Jamison

Bo has had a remarkable career as a bluegrass and country singer-songwriter. She is best recognized as the five time winner of the Chris Austin Songwriting competition at Merlefest. She was also the lead singer and guitarist for the all girl bluegrass group Tennesee Heartstrings. Her song Cherry Blossoms was nominated for a grammy. Bo sang the lead vocals on Give a Little and She'll Never Love You, as well as singing all the harmony vocals. Bo was also the co-writer on Windmills and Wheatfields and She'll never love you.

Bernie Nelson

Bernie is an accomplished singer-songwriter best known for his song Daddy Never was the Cadillac Kind recorded by Confederate Railroad. He has numerous top ten hits to his credit with songs written for Conway Twitty, Randy Travis, Trace Adkins, and Kris Kristofferson to name a few. Tim May

Tim May is a well known multi-instrumentalist in the bluegrass-country-americana music world. Tim's outstanding acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjo, and dobro work can be heard on projects ranging from Charlie Daniels, Patty Loveless Pat Flynn, The Dilliards, and Dan Miller to name a few. Tim was chosen as insturmentalist of the year by the Nashville Scene two years in a row. He is a regular contributer to Flatpicker Magazine. He has several albums with Fred Carpenter as well as Plaidgrass, with his wife Gretchen Priest-May. Tim plays guitar, mandolin and banjo on Redbird in the Snow, Back to the Ranch, Point of View, and Windmills and Wheatfields. Tim and Gretchen run the Musical Hertigage Center and reside in Pegram, Tennessee.

Gretchen Priest-May is renowned fiddle player and instructor who is most recognized for her work with the Celtic rock band Ceili Rain. Gretchen was also a member of the bluegrass band Crucial Smith and Plaidgrass, with her husband Tim May. Gretchen is a sought after teacher and is a fixture at music camps such as Swanannoa and Winfield. You can hear Gretchen's excellent fiddle playing on Redbird in the Snow, Back to the Ranch, Windmills and Wheatfields. Calgary Stampede, and Point of View. She is the owner and head instructor at the Musical Heritage Center, also known as the Fiddle and Pick, where she is carrying on her mission to past down Old time, Irish and Bluegrass songs to the next generation. She and Tim reside in Pegram, TN. when they are not out on the road.

Walter Ferguson

Walter is world class keyboard and B-3 organ player who is best known for his work as a founding member of the Swamp rock-Blues band Fish Heads and Rice. His songs have been recorded by James Cotton among others. He spent some time in his college days in Baton Rouge playing with John Fred and the Playboys of Judy in Disguise fame. Walter also worked for the great George Jones for many years in different capacities and was the piano player of the Jones Boys in their final years. Walter is enjoying his time these days as manager for the Dickson Municipal Airport where he practices his keyboards in the lobby.

The musicians each add an ingredient to the musical gumbo – Tim May’s mandolin work on Long Way Back to the Ranch, Walter Ferguson’s B-3 Organ on Give a Little, and Bo Jamison’s vocal on She’ll Never Love You are stand-outs among many others.

So, sit back, and let the music take you to from the landscapes of the Southwest to the woods of Tennessee, from to the Gulf Coast of Alabama to the Canadian Rockies.
