Biography
Andrew Heller is a classically trained pop singer who appears with orchestras as varied the Austin Symphony, the Philadelphia Philharmonic, and the iconic Western Swing band The Texas Playboys. He performs American and European popular music across the U.S., and is a two-time nominee for Entertainer of the Year by the Inspirational Country Music Association (2009 and 2010). His recent concert appearances include the 2009 Presidential Inaugural Ball at The Corcoran Gallery of Art, Hofstra University’s Tribute to Songwriter Ervin Drake, the 39th Annual International Festival-Institute at Round Top, the Austin Sister Cities International Music Concert at the SXSW Music Festival, The Howard University Jazz Festival honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, The Acuff Theatre (Opryland), The Four Seasons Austin, UT Performing Arts Center in Austin, Carnival Cruise Lines, and the nationally syndicated live radio broadcast, The Dennis Bono Show, from Las Vegas. Andrew Heller has released six CD’s, and since 2008, he has landed on the national music charts with 4 different recordings: “I Believe”, “The Great I Am” and “Tell Me More” from his brand new CD, I Believe in Angels, and "Houston, Houston, Houston" from his CD Places. His other recordings include Christmas Wonder, My Beloved, El Paso, and Broadway Love.

As a youth, Andrew placed first in the New York Young Artist Metropolitan Opera Auditions and was mentored by Leonard Bernstein and the director of The Long School of the Metropolitan Opera. As a soloist, Heller performed many lead roles in New York at St. Patrick's Cathedral, Marble Collegiate Church, and summer stock throughout the East Coast. He put his professional singing career aside to pursue advanced degrees in science and mathematics, and began a prolific scientific career at IBM. Heller rose to the position of President of IBM's Independent Business Unit, where he supervised the creation of computers now known as the RS6000 and AIX, IBM's leading edge version of the UNIX. Heller is the youngest person ever to be named an IBM Fellow, a lifelong honor. After leaving Big Blue, Andrew helped found or advise dozens of companies including Smart Technologies, SIII(S3), HaL Computer Systems, ClearCube, Rambus, NexQL, and Network Translation Inc.(now a division of Cisco).

Andrew Heller is likely the only entertainer working today who established a singing career after spending several decades at the highest echelons of the tech world. Since returning to the entertainment business in 2004, his popularity as a concert and recording artist has grown with each year. In addition to his concert calendar, he is a frequent guest of radio DJ's nationwide, and was recently featured on Fox News Network's Strategy Room.
