We are the McLemore family (Daniel, Linda, Abby, Emma, Maggie and Gabe); and we are so grateful to be blessed with the opportunity to play bluegrass music together. We live in Northwest Indiana and we travel far and wide for any chance to pick a little music with friends both old and new.

What started out as a hobby for dad (Daniel), has slowly turned into a way of life for all of us. Several years ago, he began "collecting" various acoustic instruments in order to fulfill a childhood desire to learn to play bluegrass music. It wasn't long before he was traveling to local jams and festivals and soon settled on picking a mandolin. After a while, he purchased an upright bass on a whim, and that's when mom (Linda) decided "it was better to join in, than to be left behind". Shortly after that, mom and dad started playing together in church, just to fill in when needed. Now after several years, they both still play in church every time the doors are open.

As the kids got older, they were each introduced to the various instruments, and "drug" from festival to festival, from jam to jam. It didn't take long until each one had gravitated toward their own choice of instrument and started to take on their own styles. As the saying goes, "the rest is history"; except for us, it's "history in the making". The more we traveled around to local venues, the more people kept asking if we were "a band" or if we were playing in the show. It took a little convincing, but we all finally got on board. We still mostly just play "for fun", but the difference now is, that people are watching when we play - and we love it!

We consider it a true honor to be singing and playing bluegrass and gospel music. It is with the humblest of hearts that we acknowledge that anything we do is simply a gift from God, and we strive to make use of that gift in the best way that we know how. We are so blessed each and every time that we have the opportunity to sing about Christ our Savior and what He has done for us. We believe that every song is another chance for us to tell others about Jesus and all that He has done. It is our sincere desire to share with those around us the Joy of the Lord, and this music is our way of doing just that.
