JERRY DOUGLAS-THE BEST KEPT SECRET

Jerry Douglas has won over 14 Grammy Awards, and has been an important part of roots music for decades. He’s been a member of so many important bands from J.D. Crowe’s New South, Country Gentlemen, Strength In Numbers, and Alison Krauss & Union Station. He’s also formed his own bluegrass band, Earls of Leicester.

The Best Kept Secret is one of Jerry’s most ambitious solo albums. It features guest performances by John Fogerty, Alison Krauss, Derek Trucks, Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, and Bill Frisell. It was released in 2005 and won over fans and critics alike. It features some of Douglas’ fine original tunes such as “She Makes Me Want to Sing” and the fan favorites “Who’s Your Uncle?”. Another highlight on the record is the beautiful yet funky song, “Back in Love Again” which was sung by longtime friend and collaborator - Alison Krauss.
