Biography
The Hully Gullets have ARRIVED, bringing their neo-Motown motif to the old-school new-school smackdown mashup that started a revolution on the evolution of soul rock on your jock at 13 o clock so you can PARTY ON YOUR BLOCK!!

Hully Gullets are:
George Gullet Multi-instrumentalist and songwriter
Coloria Gullet, Lead Vocalist

They also use several studio musicians and visual artists like visual and vocal effects artist System X, keyboardist Dave Iwataki (Hiroshima), and Yuko Tamura (Gladys Knight), bassist Derrick Murdock (Jay Leno band), and Andrew Jaimez (FEAR)

Trying to narrow down specific influences of Hully Gullets is not easy considering the eclectic nature of the band. The sounds have deep Detroit roots like the early Motown sound, Temptations, Supremes, etc.
Then there are outside influences like Detroit rock, Grand funk, MC5, Iggy Pop, etc and hundreds more.

One of the hardest questions for a musical artist is "who do you sound like?". A true creator of music never sets out to sound like another artist, at least not in The Hully Gullets case. We believe only a listener can answer that question.

George Gullet, aka "Exit, Exit GBG" is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, originally from Detroit. His first professionally released recording was "Detroit Leanin" released in 1982 on IPS records, which is now considered a classic collectors item.
His most recent album release, "1st 20 of the 21st", recorded during the Covid shutdown, best showcases the range of the artist.

Coloria Gullet aka "Coloria of Hollywood" is a singer, songwriter originally from New Orleans, Her 2008 Album "Lonely" featuring the songs "Reach" and "What do you see" was very well received.

Hully Gullets, currently working on new material, are mainly a studio band with no immediate plans for live events.

Their new releases, "Cellphones don't work in dreams" and "There's More" are their first debut on GEZA X RECORDS. Producer Geza X, renown for producing Meredith Brooks' feminist anthem "B*tch", has been a longtime fan of George's writing and production work and says "I'm convinced this single has heavy Top-40 crossover potential".

George says "Cellphones song came about because of a reccuring dream I have about my smartphone not working when I need it, it just never works in dreams."

"There's more" is a high energy love song, if you like what you see you ain't seen nothin yet!!
