LITTLE G WEEVIL
SOMETHING POPPIN'

Multi-award winning Little G Weevil established himself as one of the most deeply moving entertainers on the American music scene, making his name as an acoustic and electric guitarist and singer in the Blues world. His new album, SOMETHING POPPIN’, takes a giant step beyond his previous work as well as that of his contemporaries, recording all new music in his original and current home towns of Budapest, Hungary and Atlanta, Georgia with an international band in a style he calls “21st Century Rhythm and Blues”.

Much of this album is inspired by the early 70`s Afro American blues, soul, R&B, funk, African rock genres and the sounds of the black exploitation movies such as “Superfly.” which is the source or the album’s only cover, Curtis Mayfield’s “Pusher Man.” G mixes blues with hip hop beats and rap, and the result is fantastic.

In his own words, “This is definitely the most creative work of my career and i`m enjoying every second of it. I love it because it carries the honesty of blues but gives it a more modern jacket. To me this is not blues rock. This is 21st Century Rhythm and Blues.”.
