Biography
Dama doesn’t want anybody to get the idea that she is a hood rat. She is a classy Lady, but she is also rough only when it is necessary. With the title of “Dama y Callejera” (lady and street), Reggaeton new-comer Dama is looking to breakthrough as the balance between street roughness and lady softness. Dama’s delivery might be chocked full of rough stones, but if you chip away at the rough edges of her pain influenced verses, a never-before brilliance is apparent. She is one of the newest artists signed by up-and-coming label Millennium Promotions Inc. and ALPHA RECORDS INTERNATIONAL.

This Allentown, PA resident has been making music for many years. “I’ve been in love with music as far back as I can remember,” said Dama. Dama was born Soralis Roman in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico where she lived until the tender age of 8. Her family later moved to Allentown where she developed her dance moves and later, her lyrical skills. Dama was writing her own songs as early as 11 years old. One of those early songs, “I Need A Vacation” along with some slick dance moves, won her first place at a local talent show.

Fast forward to her teenage years and you might find a more troublesome Dama who admits to getting into much trouble at that time. “I was a rebel as a teenager, I never listened,” she said. It is during those years that Dama developed her rough edges. After her stormy teenage years, the calmness came in a way that she never expected. Dama will forever be thankful for the change in her life brought about with her son’s birth. “I found out that I needed to change myself when he came.” She cleaned her act up, worked a nine to five, but until recently felt like something was missing. “I had to go live my dream,” said Dama, who then set out to fulfill her dream.

Hitting one talent show after another and finally reaching the ear of Ruben Santos, President of Solid Ground Entertainment, in December 2006. “She was definitely lyrically gifted, she needed some polishing, but she was definitely gifted,” says Santos who exudes confidence in the new artist. “She’s a good student of the game. You tell her one thing to fix, and she comes back and has fixed three.” Dama describes her storytelling as based on more than what she has gone through. “I write for women, about the situations they go through life.” “Focusing on situations a lot of women can relate to.' Dama is currently working on her first full-length album 'Mi Nivel' COMING SOON...

"Radio Creds" are votes awarded to artists by radio programmers who have downloaded their music and have been impressed with the artist's professionalism and the audience's response to the new music. Creds help artists advance through the AirPlay Direct community.

Only radio accounts may add a Radio Cred. One week after the track has been downloaded the radio account member will receive an email requesting a Cred for each artist they've downloaded.
