Biography
Dale Boswell is a singer/songwriter from Phenix City, Al. In 2007 Dale wrote and recorded a song called, "My Soldier Prayer". It is a powerful tribute to the Fallen Soldier. The response to this patriotic ballad has been overwhelming. Jimmy Fortune (Statler Bros.) said, "This is exactly what America needs to hear". Merle Haggard said, "I may have to record this one!". On October 18th, 2008, Dale was invited to perform on The Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree in Nashville. He was honored by a standing ovation. "My Soldier Prayer" is fast becoming a standard among memorial services for our Fallen Heroes, as well as veterans parades. When Dale performs this song, no matter the venue, all attention is diverted to the stage. Veterans stand and salute, tears are shed, and if only for a moment...The Fallen Soldier Is Honored.
"The Greatest Tribute Ever Written"?...
I have heard these words over and over again,
of which I am deeply honored. When
I wrote My Soldier Prayer, I had no idea the
emotional impact it would have on those who
would hear it. Probably one of the simplest
songs I've ever written, it seemed to capture the
essence of those who gave all, and maybe
provide a little closure to the families, friends,
and fellow soldiers left behind. It is these people
that deserve the credit.
"For they are the inspiration,...
I am merely the writer."
Dale.
