Biography
“It’s easy to see that this is the time of our lives”, says teen Atlanta native Courtney Dickinson, quoting one of her own songs, as she talks about her music career. And yes, she means career. With an “I’ll never know if I never try” fearless attitude, Courtney has accomplished a lot in her life.
The rollercoaster ride began with her first steps - literally. Featured in a national ad campaign before the age of two, Courtney apparently ignored the words “slow down, girl you better watch your speed” because before the end of her sixth year she’d taken the stage at the famed grand Ole Opry in Nashville as the youngest member of the Little General Cloggers, completed her first national television commercial, and performed for former President Jimmy Carter.
Now, let’s be clear, this is a girl that has to date never tried a peanut butter and jelly sandwich - seriously. While to some this may seem strange, this spunky, driven girl just laughs it off and claims she's just waiting for "the right time."
After working in television and film on the west coast, this SAG actress returned to Nashville and, with the same determined spirit she’s always lived by, jumped head-first into her music career. After spending a year writing and discovering her artistry, Courtney confidently stepped into the iconic Ocean Way Nashville to begin her recording career because, as she puts it, “could you really see a girl like me” anywhere else? The answer is, "No Courtney... we can't!"
