The Billy Walton Band is a rockin’ blues-flavored R&B band with the unmistakable stamp of the Jersey Shore. Their strong, melodic songs are punctuated by classic horn lines, punchy rhythms, and vocal harmonies. From their humble beginnings on the Jersey Shore the band has built an international fan base through consistent touring and recording, including more than twenty trips to the United Kingdom.

SOUL OF A MAN, the newest release from the Billy Walton Band, celebrates the group’s 10th anniversary. Joining guitarist/vocalist Billy Walton are bassist William Paris and drummer Johnny D’Angelo, the core of the band’s last three releases. Sam Sherman and Eric Safka add some tasty keys. Continuing the tradition of the classic Asbury Park sound there are horns all over the album complementing Billy’s fiery guitar work. Ten different horn players appear on the record.

SOUL OF A MAN was recorded at the Aala Recording Studio in Maui, over a magical week that allowed the band to capture their unique mix of rock, soul, and blues. Additional tracks were recorded in South Philly and on the Jersey Shore. The album comprises thirteen songs, eleven originals and two covers by John Fogerty and Noah Lewis. From soaring guitars to Hammond swells to beautiful acoustic guitar, this release captures the essence of the band jamming away to a dancing crowd on a hot summer night on the Jersey Shore.
