Biography
The Smash Brothers have a very interesting story to say the least. The Smash Brothers aren't actually brothers but consist of two first cousins: Julius "Husky" Oliver and Michael "CeeGramz" Caraballo. They are a rap group bred from the mean streets of Camden, New Jersey. They first started rapping together back in the year 2000. Husky was mainly the emcee while CeeGramz also rapped and produced the beats. After gaining a lot of local attention, they started to take hip hop seriously and began to spend long nights in the studio making beats and recording song after song. Just as things were starting to come together, a series of unfortunate events unfolded; Husky was sent to prison and CeeGramz narrowly avoided the same fate by joining the U.S. Army. One prison bid and two trips to Iraq later, the Smash Brothers were able to pick up where they left off. Although this time, they were on a serious mission. They decided to leave the street life behind them and focus solely on their hip hop career. It has definitely paid off. The Smash Brothers now have an independent record deal with BlakGlobe Music Group and major distribution via Select-O-Hits Records. They released their first street single "G Pose" off their debut EP, "The G Pose EP" in September of 2012 also, they are releasing their debut album "From Bad to Worse" in the Summer of 2013. A lot of people ask the Smash Brothers, "What makes your rap group so different from the rest of the rap groups out there"? The Smash Brothers will simply tell you, "We don't use any foul language". That's right; the Smash Brothers do NOT curse or use any degrading or demeaning language in their lyrics. That and the fact that their chemistry - mixed with originalty and creativity - seperates the Smash Brothers from other rap groups also and allows them to stand out from the crowd. Don't believe it? Check them out for yourself. Spend a day with them and you'll fall in love with some of the funniest brothers (well...cousins) on the face of the earth, but when it's time to record in the studio or perform on stage, they'll transform into the musicial giants that they are. Be on the look out for the Smash Brothers. All you have to do is believe. If the Smash Brothers could be summed up in one word it would be: LISTEN!
